@ChuncyMuncy@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Well this is twitter so there really is no burden of proof, but in an actual court the burden is actually on the party accusing the other party of a crime/wrongdoing so actually the burden would be pretty firmly on y’all/the dodgers/MLB
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Since last night you’ve been posting snippets of videos and articles that when looked at in a vacuum support what you’re saying, but when we zoom out and look at the full context, what you have is incomplete or even straight up contradicted by the full picture
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Great video- he never says why he saw that evidence as more credible, he never said which players were interviewed, how many said it went on in the playoffs, how many playoff rounds it was said to be used in, what any of those emails or texts said, or etc. -
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Exactly what I’ve been saying, you don’t know who the players are, you don’t know what each one has gain, and you don’t know what each one has to lose. This isn’t about my “delusional suspicions” this is about you jumping to conclusions based on information you don’t have.
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Ultimately, you have to answer the question:
Which players? How many players? For example, if one player out of 25 says they did do it but the other 24 say they didn’t, those 24 are more credible unless we have direct evidence saying otherwise (which we don’t)
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter 1. Beltran never said they used it in the playoffs you’re just taking that quote way out of context b/c it’s convenient for you.
2. Gattis falling off the wagon and running his mouth on Twitter one night means nothing when there’s multiple players that say otherwise.
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I mean the definition of doubt is literally “a feeling of uncertainty” so I’m pretty far from the only person who thinks that. The fact that “the report wasn’t specific on a number of different fronts for a number of different reasons” just shows that it’s not proof of anything
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I’m gonna disagree on Manfred wanting to isolate it in the regular season but neither of us will ever know what he truly wants. There’s still nothing about manfred making 50/50 ruling based on evidence from unknown sources that proves there was sign stealing in the playoffs
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I mean Jesus I just looked at it again and Manfred never even said that players admitted to using it in the playoffs, you just got that from the SI report didn’t you? 😂😂😂😂
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter That don’t. Mainly parts where he admits that evidence was conflicting and doesn’t name a single source of that evidence. There’s nothing factual about that cause there’s no weight behind it. And yes I’m biased, but so are you DODGERS BURNER The difference is I actually admit it
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Including a headline about the report is not multiple pieces of evidence 😂😂😂 and I have my doubts about how objective anything from Manfred really is but that’s another story. The point is that picked and chose parts of one report that support your side and ignored parts -
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I don’t think there’s anything concrete on either side and we’ll probably never know the full truth about the Astros or any team, but it’s pretty biased to pretend that this is any clear proof that HOU crossed a line that BOS didn’t
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I see you didn’t put one of your red squares around the paragraph where Manfred acknowledges that reports about the system being used in the playoffs were conflicting and purely anecdotal, coming from unnamed sources. There’s also data that indicates that it wasn’t used in the WS
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter Ok great, we also know that the 2017 Astros weren’t using their system in the playoffs either. So there’s still no difference between what the Astros and Red Sox “did” to yall other than the fact that mookie is on your team now
@dodgers_burner@ChrisKetchem3@YordanBetter I’m following this just to see the mental gymnastics you deploy to convince yourself that the Astros cheated y’all out of a ring but Mookie didn’t
