So K was noticed by the producer for Blue Lock during K’s first 14 Oct 2023 Thanksgiving marathon (not from a music show as we thought)
& he was offered & persuaded (K was unsure he can carry it off) to take on the role of Nagi for Blue Lock (as per screenshot below).

Q. Please share your thoughts on being cast to play Nagi. (from back page)

A. It is my first time appearing in a movie solo, and I was cast despite having almost no acting experience, so I was truly surprised. I had strong feelings of anxiety, wondering, "Is it really okay if it's me?" and "Can I do this while keeping up with my group activities?" However, since I was graciously given this offer, as a fan of the original work, I simultaneously felt that I definitely wanted to take on the challenge.

Interviewer:
Nagi is a character who feels that everything is a "pain" (bothersome), but were there any difficult or particularly memorable aspects for you when playing this role?

K:
At first, the subtle changes in his facial expressions were very difficult. I agonized over how to express them while comparing my performance to the original work. As I played the role, I was able to gradually get used to it, but it was a part that took quite a bit of time. It was tough always having to make a face that looked like everything was a bother, while also adjusting my performance depending on the scene (laughs).

Interviewer:
Nagi has a rival relationship with Isagi, but were there any specific points you were mindful of regarding Isagi during your performance?

K:
I think Nagi is, in a good way, a character who has no interest in other people or even himself. In that sense, I have the impression that I performed while being conscious of deliberately looking at things somewhat objectively [from a step back], trying my best not to view Isagi as a rival.

Interviewer:
Please tell us what kind of impression you had of Reo, played by Tsuna-san.

K:
I guess he has an older brother-like image. He gives off the feeling that he will accept everything you throw at him; he's perfect, or rather, flawless. It feels like he can do anything.

Interviewer:
Between Nagi and Reo, who would you rather be friends with yourself?

K:
Definitely Reo. Even if we became friends, it doesn't seem like Nagi would ever hang out with me (laughs). If I invited him to go get food, he'd probably just say, "That's a pain," so I'd go with Reo.

Interviewer:
Finally, please tell us the highlights of the movie and give a message to the viewers who are looking forward to it.

K:
Seeing them fight for survival alongside various people in a closed space is a definite highlight. Also, the bonds and friendships born there are also points of interest, so I hope you will enjoy watching those aspects!

“배우를 업으로 삼고 있지 않은 (&TEAM의) K군입니다. 나기라는 인물을 표현할 수 있는 것은 K군 외에는 없다고 생각할 정도의 것을 보여줘서요. 촬영이 모두 끝나고 나서 ‘출연 제의를 받았을 때, 타카하시 후미야가 주연이었으니까 괜찮을 거라고 생각했어’라고 툭 이야기해 주었습니다만, 나를 위해 출연한 것은 아니라고 할지라도 투어를 돌면서 정말 바쁜 와중에 작품에 임하고 있는 모습을 보고, ‘이 사람을 위해서라도 나도 열심히 해야겠어’라고 생각하게 만들어 준 존재였습니다.”

👑 엄청 즐겁게 촬영에 임했습니다. 그렇기 때문에 더욱 『블루록』이 첫 영화여서 다행이라고 했던 이유가, 정말 너무너무 긴장했었거든요... 진짜 오른쪽도 왼쪽도 모르는 (아무것도 모르는) 상태로 들어갔는데, 정말 많은 것들을 가르쳐 주시면서… 이 현장 분위기가 스태프분들을 포함해서 진짜로 좋은 분위기였어요. 그 분위기가 있었기 때문에 더욱 이 팀 V로서의 분위기도 보여줄 수 있었고, 팀 Z를 포함해서 스태프 여러분을 포함한 이런 현장 공기가 있었기에 저도 잘 녹아들 수 있었던 게 아닐까 싶어서, 정말로 진심으로 감사하고 있습니다.
