KAJANG – Tindakan seorang pemandu e-hailing dipercayai memukul bekas isterinya di kawasan parkir awam berhampiran Balai Polis Bandar Baru Bangi akhirnya membawa padah apabila dia diberkas polis hari ini.

Insiden yang mencetuskan kemarahan orang ramai itu sebelum ini tular di media sosial selepas rakaman kejadian tersebar dan menarik perhatian netizen.

Ketua Polis Daerah Kajang, Asisten Komisioner Naazron Abdul Yusof berkata, pihak polis menerima laporan berhubung kejadian berkenaan pada jam 2.51 petang semalam sebelum siasatan segera dijalankan.

Menurut beliau, pihak polis turut mengesan satu rakaman video yang dimuat naik menerusi platform Threads dan dipercayai mempunyai kaitan dengan kejadian tersebut.

“Bertindak atas maklumat yang diperoleh, Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kajang berjaya menahan seorang lelaki berusia lingkungan 20-an pada jam 6.20 petang tadi.

“Siasatan awal mendapati suspek merupakan bekas suami kepada mangsa,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan.

Beliau berkata, suspek akan dibawa ke Mahkamah Bandar Baru Bangi esok bagi tujuan permohonan reman untuk membantu siasatan lanjut.

Kes kini disiasat di bawah Seksyen 323 Kanun Keseksaan kerana sengaja menyebabkan kecederaan serta Seksyen 506 Kanun Keseksaan berkaitan ugutan jenayah.

Orang ramai yang mempunyai maklumat berkaitan kejadian diminta tampil membantu siasatan dengan menghubungi Pegawai Penyiasat, Inspektor Afiq Rifdi Mohd Ami di talian 011-2966 7474.

Suspect in 2018 Tokyo Murder of Japanese-American Woman Arrested After 8 Years on the Run in Malaysia

Nobuaki Takahashi, 47, was extradited from Malaysia and arrested at Narita this morning over the October 2018 killing of Aisha Kumi Balletta, 29, a Japanese-American freelance web designer and 2011 Miss Universe Japan finalist. Tokyo police say he beat her to death with a dumbbell inside his Roppongi apartment, then flew to Malaysia the next day. Building security footage showed both of them walking in together. She was never seen leaving. He's been on Interpol's wanted list since 2019.

Balletta's mother, who lives in the US, reported her missing after losing contact. Today she put out a statement pushing back on how police described her daughter as Takahashi's girlfriend. She said her daughter wasn't in a relationship with him, she was controlled by him. Threatened, surveilled, beaten. She tried to escape multiple times but was warned the family would be hurt. The mother is calling for the death penalty. That account tracks with earlier reporting on the case. TBS News documented messages where Balletta told a friend she was afraid and needed to get away from him, and an acquaintance said Takahashi had previously beaten her badly enough to knock out a tooth.

Takahashi was defiant at Narita, shouting at reporters to back off. He's denying the charge. The arrest hasn't crossed into English-language press yet.
