Bessent exemplifies my favorite form of the political animal. He’s an articulate, clubbable, well-coiffed, bloodthirsty, savage beast. You love to see it.
Spencer Pratt Doesn’t Care About Bill Maher’s Solar Panels 🤣
“We're about three years from worrying about solar panels. We need to get all the naked drug addicts off of the sidewalks and then I can worry about solar panels.”
“You’ve been stabbed? I don’t think you have, mate,” the officer responded.
The @HantsPolice body camera footage of the arrest of a dying Henry Nowak has been released.
The university student tried desperate to tell police he had been stabbed and that he couldn’t breathe. They turn him around on the ground and handcuff him until he goes limp.
Nowak was killed by an Indian man who lied and said he was the victim of a racist attack, a tactic often used and encouraged by leftists to get an upper hand against others.
This is a thousand times worse than George Floyd. They put an innocent man in cuffs and left him to bleed to death on the ground because he’s white. Unconscionable. Outrageous.
I’ve just seen the Henry Nowak body cam. It’s as bad as you’d expect.
I simply cannot get over the patronising, snide copper who tells Henry “I don’t think you have mate” as he takes his final breaths.
Police, witnesses, the killer, loitering around as he dies on the floor.
My word. This is incredible. A real-life version of that scene from The Life of Brian: "Stan, you haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!"
The Washington Post Style section asks the question:
"Did Trump pick the right blue for the Reflecting Pool? We asked a pool guy."
After reading through 1,221 words of TDS infused remarks, the Post finally gets to the point:
Per Swimming Pool Steve, the blue color President Trump picked is "going to very likely be a more sharp and accurate reflection versus the original gray color... What you’re going to see is a higher contrast to the light of the sky and clouds.”
In short, the Reflecting Pool color is the correct blue.
Washington DC resident says she’s never been able to come to Meridian Hill Park before because of the homeless
She says because of Trump the water is now filled, “the homeless people, they're all gone and it seriously looks like Paris. I've never seen this many people out here”
This proves we do not have to live like we’ve been living in America, we don’t have to let Democrats destroy our cities and turn them into crime encampments
“I mean, look, everyone is enjoying it. Everybody. A year ago, Trump said he was going to clean out DC, and he did. It is clean, it's calm, it's quiet — The homeless are out, the birds are chirping, the water is in the ponds, the fountains are working.
Thank you, Mr. Trump”
The iconic 13-basin cascading fountain and reflecting pool had been dry for about 7 years. Donald Trump was able to rid it in early 2026
For years, the park had persistent issues with homeless encampments, drug use, trash, and safety concerns many longtime residents avoided it.
Trump instantly turned it around
Stop voting Democrat nationwide
I like the ones who say crime is down and then point to the 2-3 neighborhoods that were gang territory in the 90’s like “look what it was like back then “ even though then it was mainly in just those neighborhoods and now there’s a mid day robbery in studio city and every other suburban neighborhood every day.
The problem with LA is the "Everything's Fine" people. These are people that came to LA after its heyday and during its decline after the financial crash of 2008. The more recent the transplant, the less they are aware of what Los Angeles used to be. They have no idea all the areas that used to be lively, or that there was a world class music and night life scene. If you mention there weren't homeless people shitting on the streets everywhere, they call you a MAGA fascist because unhoused people have rights too and Everything's Fine. If you mention entire neighborhoods like the Pacific Palisades did not burn down, they say you should not be blaming the mayor for the weather (which is controlled by global warming Republicans) and Everything's Fine. You can say it's really not normal for so many shops to be closed all over Los Angeles with empty storefronts, and they'll say something about equity and that Everything's Fine. The street vendors on sidewalks in front of KoreaTown restaurants that are shutting down? That's totally fine because that's LA culture (no it fucking isn't newbie). Crime? Everything's Fine. These theater kid transplants from Michigan say why are you complaining, move somewhere else. They don't know what they don't know.
Then they drink a $20 Erewhon smoothie thinking that's the height of LA culture. Everything's Fine.
During the Biden administration, H-1B visa holders were buying houses with 97-100% financing. 97% would come from the FHA, with the rest coming from state first-time home buyer programs.
Zero money down. Thanks to programs that were supposed to be helping low-income American families buy their own homes.
FHA loans to non-permanent residents quickly grew to represent 6% of mortgage issuances. The percentage was undoubtedly higher in places like the DFW area, where H-1B visa holders are disproportionately concentrated.
I don’t have anything against people in America on H-1B visas. I’ve said it before—and I’ll say it again—that I’ve found many of them to be great people on an individual level, and I wish them all nothing but the best. Individual immigrants—especially those here legally—are not at fault for flawed US immigration policy.
But this might be the most radicalizing thing I’ve ever seen. Not only are American workers forced to compete for jobs, they’re also forced to compete in the housing market against people bringing 0-3% of a house’s cost to the closing table, versus the 10-20% most people have to pay.
First, companies import mass numbers of H-1B visa holders, largely in "back office" white-collar fields like IT and accounting. This essentially imposes a lower ceiling on domestic wages in these job categories.
Next, these workers—who are generally concentrated in certain geographic areas—create more demand for housing (especially in good school districts), driving up home prices and the cost of living.
Then, to top it off, they don’t even have to save up money for a down payment. They can close on a $500k house with $0-15k plus a 97% FHA loan. Meanwhile, ordinary American families are forced to come to with $50-100k for the same down payment.
I don’t care how you feel about Trump or what your preferred immigration policies are; there’s no defending this. It screws over hard-working American citizens several different ways over, and it’s yet another reason why I will always be glad Trump won and Kamala Harris lost in 2024.
Trump’s got the 1992 Dream Team of the business world with him on AF1 for this China trip:
- Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia
- Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX
- “Tim Apple” (lmao)
- Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock ($14T AUM)
- Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone
- Kelly Ortberg, CEO of Boeing
- Brian Sikes, CEO of Cargill (ag giant that touches nearly every item in your kitchen)
- Jane Fraser, CEO of Citi
- Larry Culp, CEO of GE Aerospace and former CEO of Danaher (low-key guy but one of the most talented business leaders of our generation)
- David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs
- Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron (semiconductor company with $860B market cap)
- Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm
Just an insane line up. Can’t think of any other president who could get this many heavy hitters to clear their schedules and fly halfway across the world in the same entourage.
Trillions of dollars of commercial, trade, capex, and M&A deals are going to result from this trip. Pay close attention to all of it.
BREAKING: Notice has just been given to Democrats in the Tennessee House that all members of the Democrat Caucus are being removed from all standing committees and subcommittees as a result of their behavior in the statehouse during the redistricting debates last week, which included setting fires inside the Capitol and attacking law enforcement.
In the state of Tennessee, political terrorism will not be tolerated. National Republicans take note that this is how you exercise power.
