@BridgieCasey@kim_siever Had an abortion on Jan 30, 2019 because my birth control failed and my husband and I literally cannot afford to have a child right now, especially without subsidized childcare while we are both at work.
I hope we get back to a Gov't that cares. #ableg
In convos with friends the cost of childcare has come up frequently. Costs in #yyc range from $900-1800/month. In #yql $900-$1500.
Why did the @Alberta_UCP scrap the $25/day childcare pilot? It makes childcare affordable for families at $500/month.
Explain.
Wrote a short non fiction piece about my abortion last January and need a title: it is about the physical and emotional experience, not the decision-making process.
@grainbinbeer @TheoryBrew Tourism uses our infrastructure but does not pay directly to maintain it. A small pst/hst with rebates for low income individuals only makes sense. #AbLeg in the meantime: general strike until the UCP gets it's shit together.
@EnviroLeth K but it actually is though. Have been on a reduction/minimalism journey for a year. My space is cleaner. It is easier to maintain, and the calmness of it just makes me happy.
REDUCE. Reuse. Recycle. #yql
When you ask your folks what they want for Christmas and they respond with "oh a gift card to some restaurant...Montana's, original joe's, the keg..." so you immediately start googling local small businesses instead.
Listening to the leadership debate while cleaning my house as I missed it last night. I have a good giggle that climate goals are set to meet targets by 2050. As if the world will still be around by then. Adorbs.
@TheInvisibleDan@DevonHargreaves @RachaelHarderMP D) see point B.
If you would like I can get into the reasons why, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community the conversation behind me made me intensely uncomfortable.
Or would you consider that more "Liberal BS"?
Respect for all candidates should be paramount. #elxn43#yql
@TheInvisibleDan@DevonHargreaves @RachaelHarderMP A) because I was sitting in front of them and they identified themselves as part of the campaign.
B) "that Green Party Candidate is an odd duck..." mentioning specifically Candidate Watson's pronoun choice.
C) your emphasis wasn't in my statement so don't know what that means. >
Started watching the leader's debate from last night as I was at a candidates forum. It took 15 seconds for Scheer to mention blackface and he immediately started attacking Trudeau. *hard eyeroll*

@ShandiBleiken rebutted Harder's response and later answered another question by an audience member that abortion is fundamental health care when he advocated restricting abortion to prevent the need for immigration.
I want to thank Candidate Bleiken for her support.
My question to Rachel Harder at the forum. I offer this question publicly. Her response was that health care is the jurisdiction of the provinces and she would respect the province's ability to determine accessibility.
