Das ist Mohammed Mastat. Vorletzte Nacht, einen Tag vor Neujahr, beobachtete er einen Mann, der sich auffällig verdächtig einer Kirche in Aleppo in Syrien näherte. Mohammad Mastat von den Syrischen Sicherheitskräften drängte ihn in eine Seitenstraße und verfolgte ihn. Mastat erkannte die Gefahr und rang den Mann zu Boden und legte sich über ihn. In diesem Moment zündete der Terrorist von Daesh („IS“) seinen Bombengürtel. Die Explosion in Aleppo tötete wie durch ein Wunder nur ihn und den Angreifer. Mohammed Mastat opferte sein Leben im Dienst und rettete Unschuldige. Er war erst 23 Jahre jung. Als der Syrienkrieg ausbrach, war er neun. Er wuchs unter Krieg, Unterdrückung, Vertreibung und Terror auf und gab für den Schutz davor sein Leben.
