Dear colleagues, I appreciate the attempts to drum up public outrage over the worsening pediatric health crisis, but outrage alone won’t slow viral transmission. Try yelling for:
-Mask mandates
-Air quality regulations
-Mandatory isolation for respiratory illnesses, with sick pay

I made it this far without infection until today. I vaccinate, I wear masks but with most wanting to move on like nothing has happened has left me ill & isolated. I pulled my kids from school regardless of no mandates. I will do what others couldn't do for us. Keep others safe

I always find it funny how some people who only speak English have the audacity to look down on folks with accents. Like, do you know how hard it is to learn a second language, nevermind multiple languages?

@Sflecce @patrice4ajax @Rae_Matt Really! Normal & stable? Sick kids & staff allowed to return to the classroom with NO protection. NO rules to keep them safe. Asymptotic's testing positive can return immediately to unmasked classrooms (still waiting on these promised HEPA filters as well) to make everyone sick

@_ashawndabney My husband,children and I have all been able to avoid it so far. We are vaccinated, booster, mask in indoor public spaces and avoid crowds still. I also work in health care so it has been tricky to stay safe (along with a lot of luck as many do everything and still get it)

@kateyqm Yep same in my city. Walmart, Shoppers, Metro, Zehrs, Rexall, IGA even Amazon....cannot get anything especially children's cough/cold meds.

@OnAdvocate I have had constant contact with my son's teacher (g 4). The bullying this year against him has been unreal. She is doing her best but she even says that in her 30+ years of teaching she has never experienced such meanness.Even kids bullying teachers.

The mere fact that 5 fully vaccinated (4 doses) transplant patients needed ICU care because people chose their "personal freedom" over wearing a mask and getting vaccinated during a pandemic makes me nauseated.

@Sflecce @fordnation If perhaps you focused on EDUCATION..you know the thing your suppose to be the minister of...perhaps you could see the schools are falling apart right now since lifting the mask mandates.
