Kindness, collaboration and excitement were in abundance at the hub of the local community, McDonald Valley Public School, on Friday evening, capping off another successful term at this stunning small school in Windsor network.
Students, staff and parents partnered with Toby the Wombat Guy @BoorneWild and Linda Bracken from Valley for Wildlife https://t.co/M6L97iv0Hi
to raise awareness and positive action in support of continuing to combat the previously declining wombat numbers in the Hawkesbury area.
Passionate students performed a song they wrote about caring for wombats, designed and created beautiful wombat artwork, and led interactive experiences for the many, many visitors attending the event.
Congratulations to Principal, Sarah Allen, and the dedicated staff, students and community members on working together to achieve great things!

Proudly promoting public education in the @smh because @NSWEducation schools provide the best education money can’t buy! Enrol your child in a public school to set them up for success so they can become citizens who build better communities for tomorrow. https://t.co/6tBKchZGl4
What a day! Visiting two amazing principals and schools in Windsor Principals Network - Cattai PS and Glenorie PS.
Congratulations to the fabulous Rebecca Wallace, newly appointed principal at Glenorie.
@nswppa@suemaxworthy Very humbled and honoured to receive this award! It’s my privilege to support principal colleagues, students and schools. Thank you!! @nswppa
Congratulations to these Wallsend South students who won our SRC mask design competition. Both masks, Camo Splash and Colourful Triangles, have been printed and are now being sold to raise money for Westpac Helicopter and Good Samaritan Donkey Rescue.
@suemaxworthy I was also awake at 5am listening to the rain but at my place it was relentless, loud and quite frankly annoying! 😂 I much prefer your take on it. Have a great day Sue!
“Rainbow of Hope” - perfectly capturing the moment. This particular student happened to ask me today, “Do you know when my friends will be coming back?”
The photo was taken earlier in the week.
