Be aware of SCH fractures that look worse on the AP than lateral. These typically are rotationally unstable and reduction cannot be locked by elbow hyperflexion. How to prepare: 1- Use hand table so you can rotate the c arm for lateral image (continued)
@CPOrthopedics@Davembmd I don’t have an answer! Which is why I agree that it’s a problem. I do think quality is probably the most important metric for your eval but it’s challenging to quantify.
@Davembmd@traumaticum@Pranai_B@MrDanPerry We have been having these conversations frequently in my fellowship! Such a gray area. Have done many nails in adolescents and they haven’t had issues (yet!). I like the idea of a bone age… and it’s a good question about the nail preventing a bony bar 🤔
