On September 14, 2026, #teamHCSO detectives charged Ahmad Webb, 16, for the death of Jaden Law, 15, inside Dick’s House of Sport at the Brandon Exchange on July 10, 2026.

Webb is charged with Manslaughter with a Weapon.

"This investigation has never stopped," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Our detectives have worked diligently to uncover the facts surrounding Jaden Law's death, and today, we are holding a 16-year-old accountable with a manslaughter charge. Thank you to the detectives for your commitment to this case and for your relentless and diligent work to bring justice to the victim."

@HillsboroughSch has been under fire by @GovRonDeSantis, @JamesUthmeierFL, @EducationFL, and parents for years now over books in their libraries. It’s time the state took a stronger stance against them at this point. The school board and @VanAyresHCPS don’t care. Withhold money from them and maybe it’ll make a difference.
