Hi @AsmMeganDahle. The CA teacher shortage is real. Only 65% of teacher candidates pass RICA the first time & over 30% are turned away from the profession. Voting YES on #SB614 will #ReplaceRICA with an updated performance assessment to get more teachers in the classroom.

Hi @AsmChristySmith. We need more teachers in CA schools. Prior to COVID, 80% of districts reported teacher shortages! Only 65% of teacher candidates pass RICA the first time & over 30% are turned away from teaching. Vote YES on #SB614 to get more teachers in the classroom!

Hi @AsmKevinMcCarty. Students are more likely to achieve when they have a diverse teacher workforce to learn from. But teachers can’t get into the classroom if they don’t pass RICA. Please #SupportDiverseTeachers and vote YES on #SB614 to remove this barrier to instruction.
