ICYMI San Jose, California PD Legendary Criminal Takedown

In one of the most incredible displays of police bravery you’ll see, San Jose Police Sgt. Gerardo Silva took a bullet to the head during a gunfight, suffered a fractured skull, and still kept returning fire until backup arrived and stopped the threat.

The suspect, 30-year-old Mohamed Husien of Davis, California, had been on a multi-day violent spree that began January 17 with the theft of a Corvette from a Sacramento dealership, followed by a string of armed robberies across the region.

Bodycam shows Husien shot Silva in the hand first. Silva kept fighting, then took the round to the head. Husien tried to carjack the sergeant’s patrol car before officers shot him and ended the rampage. Silva was released from the hospital the next day.

Absolute legend.
