Sometimes, I sit down and ask myself some questions about Nigeria and Nigerians. Questions like who cursed Nigeria? Will Nigeria ever be good? How are people surviving?

Lodged in a hotel during the weekend, one of the staffs came to knock on my door and asked me for 21k, said his sister was in the hospital, he doesn’t want to lose her and the money was needed urgently for them to start her treatment. He was almost crying, he said they’ve not paid his salary yet, I just had to help out.

Got back to my estate, one of the security guards came to me saying he needed to feed his family and he does not know what they’ll eat when he gets back home. Showed me a text message from his wife saying there was nothing to cook at home, and the children have been sleeping all day just because they’re hungry. I had to help out too.

You’d see things like this and be forced to ask, “how are people surviving in the Nigeria of today?”, everything got so expensive, minimum wage still down, people who could afford the basics before now have to pay X3 for what they couldn’t afford before, the country is really draining, and people are obviously suffering, our government need to do better.

At a time like this, I wouldn’t advice anyone to do just one job; get a side hustle, try learn a new skill, get into crypto to earn in dollars to at least give you an edge over the devaluation of Naira, try something new on the side, you can’t survive the Nigeria of today with just one source of income.

I hope we all experience ease and abundance soon.
