I think growing up around women who rarely wore makeup, except for special occasions and that definitely shaped how I relate to it. I never really learned to see makeup as a prerequisite for looking presentable, feminine or put together. But beyond that, as I've gotten older,

unpopular opinion but having mental health issues doesn’t excuse someone for being a bad person and you shouldn’t ever have to repeatedly endure someones abusive behavior just because they blame it on their own struggles.
