As I reflect on Charlie Kirk’s life and assassination, I want to share where I'm at processing this moment as a father and Christian. I hope this message reaches the ears of his family- even if not by me.
1) Charlie's death is not a tragedy. It is a testimony. He is a martyr- a sacrifice. What he just earned is priceless and can't be bought or replicated. Its a jewel crowning his legacy.

The words that have echoed in me for years from John Piper speak directly to this moment (https://t.co/buXkUwGrvy):
“You don’t have to know a lot of things for your life to make a lasting difference for the Lord in the world. But you do have to know the few great things that matter, and then be willing to live for them and die for them. The people that make a durable difference in the world are not the people who have mastered many things, but who have been mastered by a few great things.”

Charlie was willing and died fulfilling his calling:
Reaching out to a dying world on campuses filled with people that didn’t know they were dying. That's not a tragedy- its an honor.

Despite risks, vitriol, resistance he never turned back and that's something his family and the whole world should hope they have the honor to do one day- and be proud of him for. We are standing on the back of another giant.

As sad and heartbreaking as this is he was a man who rightly loved his family, his country, and his God. He embodied the posture of reaching out a hand to help- even to those who hated or misunderstood him.

2) You never know when your time is up. We all have plans for tomorrow, next week, but his kids and wife will never feel his embrace again. The moments we all have now matter- Don't procrastinate. You can't fix everything tomorrow. You can't decide tomorrow. Right now is all you have. Charlie took his last sip of water from an half-full bottle- He thought he would finish it, but in the blink of an eye the world changed. Jesus is Lord, He died & rose again It separates Christianity from all other Religions. Charlie is now in the presence of the creator and soon we all be. Repent and Believe in Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of all that was promised to the world and the answer to the persistent emptiness that plagues people who don't know their creator and purpose.

3) Poetry is powerful. This song by Lecrae stands for Charlie at the moment as far as I'm concerned. Its on repeat for me the next few days I'm sure: https://t.co/DbLAuDGEDX.

A tragedy would be a wasted life- Charlie changed the world. RIP Charlie Kirk, and I hope for Peace in the hearts of his family who adored him. A light was snuffed out.
