Barbie Bungee Day @Seneca_High ! We collected data in class last week and generated regression lines to predict the number of rubber bands needed. The groups that collected the best data on a small scale did the best outside. @jcps@CounselorSeneca@CMPunches44@TheStatsMedic
@Seneca_High We made anchor charts for families of functions, then did a gallery walk recording all the key features! Walking around is better than doing a worksheet. @SenecaAP_AGLA @CounselorSeneca@JCPSKY@CMPunches44
Lots of fun happening in math class @Seneca_High. Algebra 2 is reviewing linear functions by measuring rope, then tying knots and re-measuring. Statistics is using M&Ms to review categorical vs numerical data. @SenecaAP_AGLA @CounselorSeneca@JCPSKY
I had the privilege of attending @Seneca_High JROTC with @Seneca1stSgt and watching the promotions. Always great to see the seniors during their last promotion. Shout out to two seniors that are joining the @KYArmyGuard and another that had to put up with me two years in a row.
Barbie Bungee is one of the best parts of my statistics class @Seneca_High. We collect data and predict the total number of rubber bands needed. Then they test them out on the @SHSRedHawkBand tower.
Binomial distribution carnival @Seneca_High They had to create a game AND explain why it is a binomial distribution. Rolling dice, fishing for ideas, a catapult and dropping paratroopers were parts of the carnival. Shout out to @JCPSHighEA_AofL@CMPunches44 for joining us!
My favorite day: Carnival day @Seneca_High! We had a variety of games and @SenecaAP_AGLA was able to stop by and join in on the fun. The toughest part was determining the theoretical probability then comparing it to the experimental probability. #statsproject@JCPSKY
Human Box Plots @Seneca_High in algebra 2. We lined up by height then gave the minimum, Q1, median, Q3, and maximum a yard stick. Then connect it with string and we have a box plot! @TheStatsMedic, have you tried this? @CMPunches44 @SenecaAP_AGLA
The carnival is coming @Seneca_High during my stats class during 6th period. Here is a sneak peek of a couple attractions ahead of Friday. Any administrator or teacher welcome, even district level people! @SenecaAP_AGLA @CMPunches44@JCPSHighEA_AofL@MsMerkel@CounselorSeneca
When reviewing combinatorics @Seneca_High one of my seniors remembered the book I read to them as juniors. 🤩 Then we drew a diagram of all the different types of coffees you can order off a menu with 4 sizes, 4 kinds of coffee and 7 shots of flavors. #literacyinmath@CMPunches44
