@KempseyCC had their ground turned over to the War Agricultural Committee in 1942. Club officials sold the pavilion, shed and mower and sent the £133 proceeds to the PM's office.

Churchill thanked them.

Playing equipment was stored to restart cricket after the war.

The game ended In a 35 run win for KCC, but the biggest quirks of the day came via usual tailender Adam Hunaban opening the batting and scoring 64!
