A 56-year-old man, Mr. John Ehidreme, has been arrested for allegedly dumping refuse into a drainage channel at No. 18 Oluoga, Ikorodu.
The Lagos State Government has reiterated that indiscriminate waste disposal violates environmental laws, contributes to flooding, blocks drainage systems, and poses serious public health and environmental risks. Residents are urged to dispose of waste responsibly and use only approved waste collection service.

Armed Robbers Kill Security Guard, Loot Paparazzi Communication Shop in Auchi
Tragedy struck in Auchi, Edo State, after suspected armed robbers reportedly attacked the Auchi branch of Paparazzi Communication, killing a security guard and making away with goods worth an undisclosed amount.
The heartbreaking incident, which reportedly occurred overnight, has left the business owner devastated, both financially and emotionally.
In a statement released after the attack, the owner disclosed that the armed robbers forcefully broke into the shop, looted all available goods, and fatally attacked the security guard who was on duty.
โI am heartbroken to share that armed robbers attacked my shop last night (Paparazzi Communication, Auchi branch). They broke in, carted away all my goods, and tragically killed my security guard during the attack.
This is an unimaginable loss, both financially and emotionally.โ
The owner appealed to the public to help circulate a video related to the incident so it can reach the appropriate authorities and individuals who may have information that could assist investigators in identifying and arresting those responsible.
The statement also paid tribute to the slain security guard, describing his death as a painful loss.
โMy thoughts and prayers are with the family of my late security guard. May justice be served.โ
Residents of Auchi and members of the public have been urged to provide any useful information that could aid the investigation by reporting directly to the appropriate security agencies.
The incident adds to growing concerns over the security of businesses and the safety of security personnel in parts of Edo State. As investigations continue, many are calling for swift action to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.
