In recent months, the B.C. government delivered 1,000 coffees to lure U.S. nurses to come work in Canada, spending $165,000—that’s $165 per coffee.
And governments think they can run a grocery store efficiently?
I’m not trying to be a whistleblower or anything but I came face to face with a problem that every farmer or consumer in the United States and Canada needs to me aware of. This is an absolute joke and a mess but yet as always us common folk are caught in the middle of. It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out but I’m willing to go to jail for this because it’s absolute crap. #AgTwitter #AgX #JohnDeere #CaseIh #America #Canada #northamerica #AgX #harvest25 #wheat #corn #soybeans #sorghum #milo #macdon #farming #tillage #newholland #Oklahoma
The grain and pulse crop in Russia’s Krasnodar region (#2 #wheat grower) is expected to decline by 22% year-on-year in 2025, according to regional agriculture ministry representative Evgeny Ovsienko. In 2024, the region harvested 13.5 mmt of grain and pulses.

Alberta’s inspectors have caught the first invasive mussel trying to enter Alberta this year.
The tiny invader was found on a 20-foot Wellcraft Cabin Cruiser coming from Ontario, and heading to waters in Alberta and B.C.
We are stepping up protections for our environment and economy by setting up more inspection stations, hiring more inspectors, more K-9 dogs, extending operating hours and securing needed equipment. We also have the highest fines in North America for those who fail to stop at an inspection station.
Let’s keep Alberta 100% invasive mussel free for years to come. Stop at all mandatory inspection stations, and clean, drain, dry your gear!
Can somebody tell the sky is falling cattle analysts that the funds are long because they understand fundamentals…
Some bullshit crybaby stock market hasn’t changed anything about those.
"Papa, may we watch Alex Ovechkin, the greatest goal scorer in NHL history, break a once thought unbeatable record on this Sunday?"
"Sorry my son, for we do not have the Sportsnet+ package, we must forgo the chance to see a record that may take generations to break."
If a #heifer is saved in '25, bred in '26 & calves in '27, it will be '28 before we finally see that #calf on the #market. Unlike previous #cycles, like the early 1990s or 2014-19, there’s been no increased heifer #retention in anticipation of expansion.

Canada’s Canola Industry: $43.7 Billion, 206 000 jobs.
Canada Steel Industry: $6.7 Billion, 123 000 jobs
Canadian EV Industry: No answer, but in 5+ years could be impactful.
Slaughtering an independent and thriving industry in the hopes to protect an unknown industry…..
@tpotwilson@scottlamb9 A couple of rules may be putting it lightly but I’d only be speculating at the details of this scenario.
With the coop structure though, if one member is in default I do believe everyone’s account for new purchases, new members, or current members withdrawals freezes until fixed
