The President of the United States doesn't know who in the White House gave the order to shutdown Starlink for 36 hours. Then who is running the government?
Either this is true, which would be a terrible sign that the President is not in control of his own Pentagon, or it's false, in which case the President is lying about a crucial national security issue for some reason.
⚡️ ZELENSKYY REVEALS WHAT HE TOLD TRUMP ABOUT STARLINK — AND WHAT HAPPENED NEXT! 🇺🇦
ZELENSKYY: “I told Trump: If you enable Starlink access inside Russia, we can quickly destroy their ballistic missile launchers.”
“Putin would come to the negotiating table, and I wouldn’t need to destroy a single energy facility. But instead, they shut down Starlink. They didn’t expand coverage — they restricted it.”
Ukraine asked for the tools to stop Russian missiles. Instead, Zelenskyy says its capabilities were restricted. 🇺🇦
Trump is terrified of the political blowback he is taking for his decision to race to Putin's aid. In a way, it is glorious to see him panicked like this.
He did it, he knows he did it, and he will try to blame everyone but himself for it.
Elon Musk says it was the DoD and ultimately Trump who was curtailing Starlink respectively Starshield. Now, Trump is blaming Elon Musk.
The lack of courage owning this deeply unpopular and stupid decision is really remarkable.
Kharkiv today after a Russian strike on the flea market. I have no words. These terrorist bastards do this every day to Ukrainians, and somehow we are still blamed for it. This is insane.
EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.
I think it’s time for Putin to stop killing innocent people in Ukraine and pretending like Russia wants peace when all Putin wants is to conquer Ukraine and eliminate their sovereignty.
If he stops attacking Ukraine, then martial law in Ukraine will end and the Ukrainian people will be able to do what President Trump said:
Have an election and likely elect a new leader.
There’s no elections in Ukraine under Martial Law. The Martial Law ends when the war ends.
The fastest way to get a new leader in Ukraine is for Putin to stop massacring innocent people.
It’s common sense.
People need to understand that the only reason Trump backed down on SpaceX and Starshield so quickly is that he got push back right away, politically and from Ukraine. He is a bully and a coward. Stop criticising Zelensky for standing up to him.
As a result of Trump's energy ceasefire, Russia has promised to export 300k metric tons of diesel this month, 500k next month and up to 1 million in December.
Global monthly diesel demand is 115 million tons. We're talking about less than 1% of global diesel demand and that's assuming Russia can and wants to deliver on its promises which is highly doubtful on both ability and intent grounds.
On the other hand, 5.4 million tons a month is estimated to have been lost for the last many months due to the drastic reduction of oil and diesel shipments via the Straight of Hormuz.
The "energy ceasefire" is not about diesel, it's about redirecting the rage at the cost of the Iran war at someone other than the people who are responsible for it for electoral purposes.
I don’t usually join panels, but given the news and my presence on the ground, I was asked to weigh in. Here’s my response to a panelist who appeared to be defending Vladimir Putin amid Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine:
“Do you want to save Ukrainian civilian lives, or would you rather hinder and kneecap what’s supposed to be your ally in its fight for survival against Russia? That’s simply what it comes down to now.”
At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter if Zelenskyy is President of Ukraine or not. @ZelenskyyUa
Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe.
People obsess over personalities too much.
You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war.
Russia INVADED Ukraine.
Not the other way around.
Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism.
It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.
If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.
Altogether, the drone attacks on commercial ships off the coast of two NATO countries - Bulgaria and Romania, have already caused at least 21 casualties: 2 confirmed dead and 19 missing.
This is the new normal in Europe. Russia’s hybrid war has entered its acceleration phase.
The latest reporting suggests this strategic snafu may have occurred more locally within DOD Starshield systems, not with Starlink or SpaceX.
I’m not holding my breath for Defense Secretary Hegseth to offer transparency, so we’ll be asking the DOD Inspector General to initiate an investigation and report back to Congress and the American People.
Meanwhile, both Ukrainian civilians and U.S. diplomatic and security personnel were placed at unnecessary risk and without warning.
At best, this was an unacceptable error or lapse, and at worst a conscience decision to clear the field for a Russian attack.
On a point of principle, any action that Ukraine takes against Russia, as a country fighting off an unprovoked invasion, is "defensive" by its very nature.
