I once got to Leyton Orient for a cup game for it to be called off whilst walking to the ground. Know what I did. I didn't moan on twitter, or to BBC Radio Sheffield, I went and got drunk and enjoyed myself with my mates. What's with these Oxford fans. ⚔️❤️🍻
Leaving to drive to Leeds in an hour with my 6 year old son for a kick off an hour after his usual bed time because he asked to go months ago and the inner soppy bollocks little lad inside my soul thought to myself:
“That’s all I’ve ever wanted in a son really… asking to go to away games just before Christmas in the North of England because he’s been indoctrinated into supporting the same club I was by my Dad from the moment he was able to understand independent thought”.
@Vitu_E A wonderful, beautifully insightful piece.
‘An adult amongst children’. could never attempt to be more apt.
Harry Brook - take note. This is the road to greatness.
Bravo sir 👏
"I hope the Australian public give it to him [Stuart Broad] right from the word go for the whole summer. And I hope he cries and goes home. I don't advocate walking, but when you hit it to first slip it's pretty hard." - Darren Lehmann, 21 August 2013.
Sit this one out fella.
This was a quick unfollow. Don't ever harass and abuse young people in public like this. This is bullying. Given how squeezed young people are financially, I don't give a shit if they dodge a small transport fare. You have no idea of the circumstances of this lad. Delete this.
Firework Season is approaching its vicious peak and many people and animals are suffering because of it.
People are working hard for you though. For example there’s an event at Parliament, Sponsored by MP Sarah Owen on 12th November.
The event is for the #Fireworks#Impact #Coalition, a powerful alliance of major UK charities united in their concern over firework-related harm. Please write to your MP and ask them to go to the event to meet the charities and experts to find out first hand what the huge impacts fireworks have on human and animal wellbeing.
You can easily write to your MP using this link: https://t.co/FiZ8nBdOxz
The more people who write, the more chance we have of more MPs joining our ranks and supporting Sarah in her campaign for #fireworklawchange

Rob is % correct, it’s not fair that #fireworks are every night. Traditional dates only please, restrict sales to the public. #fireworklawchange
More and more people are speaking out this year, including personalities like @robstaton @RealGaryWebster
Thanks for your support guys, please ask your media and show business friends to add their voices too, together we’re stronger!
Before people get too carried away with their "banter" next weekend, can we all just take a minute to remind ourselves of what our former Head Coach went through last October.
Must be pretty much a year to the day since Liam Manning and his family lost baby Theo — something no parent should ever have to go through. And something that I know affected a great many of us deeply.
Despite that, not only did he drag himself out of the pits of hell, but he came back and took us to our highest league position in nearly 20 years... If that doesn't deserve our respect, then I honestly don't know what does.
Support our lads, of course we want the win. But let's do it in a way that reflects the best of us, with class, compassion and perspective when it comes to LM... 🙏🏽 ❤️🤍
