Standing up for free speech and the truth through using a combination of reason, observation, and investigation to expose lies and corruption. No DMs please.
Our government are such hypocrites. Somehow it’s OK that Israel can violate international law by attacking another country’s sovereignty, but when they respond, as they are permitted by international law that’s the violation? They bring shame upon our nation.
Tomi Laren says she is a free speech absolutist but non-citizens should not be allowed to criticize Israel. She is therefore a phony free speech supporter by her own admission. Not a fan of either Nazi Germany or the modern Israeli Nazis, kiss my ass Tomi.
Israel thinks that attacking Iran a second time is on their security interests, what fools. They will, and I hope this time they will pay a real price and not just a symbolic one.
I’m sickened by our corrupt politicians who are claiming that Iran is the leading proponent if terrorism in the Middle East. How can you miss the fact that Israel’s terrorism is orders of magnitude worse? When you bribe them enough they can even support Nazis.
@walmartian@sanjay_world There is no evidence that any vaccine is either safe or effective, all they can do is lie about this, but as long as people don’t question your lies, as long as they do not request evidence, the lie will continue, as it has.
@walmartian@sanjay_world …jabbed as a condition to treating them. So no more worries that their fraud will be further exposed from him or his practice. Otherwise, they compare one dangerous and ineffective shot versus another and find they are all harmful and use that to base their safety claims on.
@xanas3712@LPNational This has nothing to do with expanding money supply although this does need to be properly regulated. Money supply is credit, so you need to keep the amount manageable because overextending leads to high default rates and higher inflation.
@xanas3712@LPNational The systemic part refers to how widespread this fraud was, of a magnitude to create great systemic risk. Then we’re all on the hook because you cannot just let the “system” fail.
@xanas3712@LPNational This was caused by deception, by misrepresenting these securities as AAA when they were at best junk status. Transparency is everything here. This involved outright fraud.
@xanas3712@LPNational The “state” did not create these rules but they were indeed negligent in containing them. We did learn quite a bit from this. This has nothing to do with home prices, it has everything to do with driving demand beyond normal levels with reckless lending.
@xanas3712@LPNational What incentives are you talking about? There are corporate incentives that drive short term profit over long term health, which is why we need the proper amount of regulation to control.
@xanas3712@LPNational We speak of the banking system as an aggregation of banks, and they fail individually when they do although there is a natural cascade like a house of cards. I’ve no idea what you are talking about here, sorry.
@xanas3712@LPNational 1929 serves as an excellent example of poor monetary policy, where the economy was left to expand without enough control, which means an excess of credit. When debtors can’t repay it, then the collapse hits. That’s your correction.
@xanas3712@LPNational Without monetary restraint, the quantity of money would escalate in an uncontrolled manner, leading to systemic defaults and collapse. You end up with Venezuela, or worse,
@xanas3712@LPNational It is a pure fairly tale to think that this ‘real money” could replace the dollar, I’d love to hear how you would suggest this would be possible without completely wiping out the economy.
@xanas3712@LPNational What would happen though if we did away with the reserve rate and forced banks to retain the full amount of deposits? Among other things, our money supply would plummet by 90%. If it does down a fraction of this we fall into a depression. This one would go all the way to hell.
@xanas3712@LPNational Bank runs are prevented by inspiring confidence and a big part of this is that we will indeed step in to avoid systemic failure. We don’t want the state to run the bank because that takes away competition.
