MY HEART IS FULL OF GRATITUDE 🙏✨

A massive thank you to @stanbicug for their generous donation of UGX 10 million towards the renovation of Kashenyi Primary School—one of the oldest institutions in western Uganda and a place that holds a special place in my heart as an alumnus.

Returning to Kashenyi this past weekend was a deeply nostalgic experience. Walking through the school compound, standing in the very classrooms where my journey began, and reconnecting with former classmates and teachers brought back a flood of memories. We shared stories of our school days—the challenges, the laughter, the lessons, and the lifelong friendships forged within these walls. It was a beautiful reminder of how Kashenyi shaped us into the people we are today.

But what moved me even more was interacting with the current pupils—bright, eager minds full of dreams and aspirations. They spoke of their ambitions with so much passion—some hoping to become doctors, engineers, teachers, and even pilots. Their energy and determination were inspiring, yet it also reinforced the urgent need for us to ensure they have access to the best possible learning environment to nurture their potential.

Thanks to the generosity of Stanbic Bank and other well-wishers, such as @UgandaBaati (that's a story for another day), renovations are progressing well, restoring dignity and hope to this historic school. However, this is just the beginning.

Our next big step is the Centenary Building Project—an ambitious initiative to transform Kashenyi Primary School into a modern center of learning, equipped with 21st-century facilities that will empower the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Beyond infrastructure, we also recognise the importance of investing in people—both the teachers who dedicate their lives to shaping young minds and the students who dream of a brighter future. As part of our long-term vision, we are working towards setting up an Endowment Fund to support teachers' welfare and provide scholarships for bright but underprivileged pupils, ensuring that no child’s dream is cut short due to financial hardship.
now is the time to act. Together, we can build a lasting legacy

This is a call to all alumni, partners, and well-wishers—we cannot do this alone. Let us join hands and be part of something truly impactful. Every contribution, big or small, will help shape the future of these young learners and ensure that Kashenyi remains a beacon of education for many more generations to come.
