Underwater wolf fish!
Perhaps not the most attractive of the species at Kendjam, wolf fish are nevertheless compelling. These prehistoric fish are unique in nearly every aspect, they also thrill anglers with their aggressive behavior.

One of the most compelling aspects of the fishing program at Kendjam is that the water is generally so clear that anglers can target a variety of species by sight fishing. Being able to cast directly to fish and watching them strike always adds excitement to the experience.
If you liked the last two payara posts, you'll likely love this one. While payara are not one of the main species we target, we do sometimes find some good ones, and this giant from our last season was certainly one to remember!

Big, toothy payara are yet another species found at Kendjam. Payara, wolf fish, peacock bass, bicuda, matrincha, pacu, and more — it's amazing how many different species can target on any given day.
