AZ’s hot & dry weather puts our state at risk for wildfires. We reduce risk by clearing space. Vegetation was cleared from the bases of approx 21,000 equipment poles in 2021, an increase of 1,000 from 2020, to create defensible space to mitigate the impact of potential wildfires.
