Sylvinho Disasterclass vs Latvia 🇦🇱⚔️🇱🇻
Even before kick-off, the lineup told me this would be a disaster.
- Rey Manaj as captain & starter again: Missing a penalty happens to anyone. But his performance vs Serbia was awful — constantly looking for fouls and contributing nothing. Yet he starts again, plays almost the full game, while Daku — in top form and far better last game — watches from the bench. Makes zero sense.
- Balliu over Hysaj: Against Serbia, Sylvinho played Hysaj, who's more dangerous going forward. Today, when we desperately needed offensive power, he chose the defensive Balliu — who was absolutely terrible on the pitch. Mind-boggling decision.
- Qazim Laçi as a No.10? He was completely lost between midfield and attack. Laçi is fine when pressing a possession-heavy opponent — but Latvia wasn't that. The attacking link-up failed completely.
- Broja on the right again: It hasn't worked, and it won't. He's too far from goal and has zero chemistry with Manaj. Broja must play through the center.
- No guts, no ideas: Sylvinho’s game plan vs weaker teams seems to be: keep the ball, avoid mistakes. It’s like he copied only the worst parts of Guardiola. We just pass side-to-side, waiting for magic from someone. There’s no real interplay, no tactical combinations. That won't work — we don’t have elite talent up front. We need solutions, not hope.
Also, Asllani deserves criticism. For an Inter player, he goes missing way too often. No initiative, wrong decisions. Not good enough.
