- follow up on commitments
- bring them into decision-making when appropriate
- are transparent around why decisions have been made
- are direct when there's a problem
- find moments to validate and praise efforts and achievements

There is a very good reason that Explicit Teaching is the primary pedagogy that is supported through What Works Best and the Schools Excellence Framework. It is great to see more and more schools adopting it as their signature pedagogy. It Works!!!
