Our thoughts are with all Buckeyes (future, current, and past) that live in the path of #HurricaneLaura. This storm has the potential to be extremely dangerous/deadly.
This is in Blue Ash right now where a car went into two buildings. A woman on scene tells us the gas pedal got stuck. Blue Ash Police say the driver went into Servatti Pastry, took a L turn, then went into Fleet Feet Sports which is right next door. @FOX19
When we rush through life trying to do it all, we’ll eventually crash. But God offers us rest instead of a rushed life.
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. | Matthew 11:28
Today, may you feel the warmth of His breath and the tenderness of His touch as He kneels beside you, reminding you: You’re not alone; I’m right here with you. It’s going to be OK — there is no wound I can’t cleanse, no brokenness I can’t heal. | Brenda Bradford Ottinger
Jesus has not brought you all this way to drop you. He will not leave you aimless or answerless. He knows what he’s doing. He knows where he’s taking you. You will have what you need when you need it. Not when you want it perhaps. But when you need it. This test is about trust.
To the woman…
… who doesn’t know how she’ll face tomorrow
… who believes she isn’t good enough
… who feels unlovable
… who can’t get it together
… who doesn’t know what her future may bring
… who feels forgotten
… who lost a dear friend
You are loved by Jesus.
“God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.” Deuteronomy 30:3 (MSG)
God is able to restore our biggest failure and redeem our darkest hour.
Jesus, thank You for Your grace and peace. When I wrong You, You forgive me. When I choose lesser loves, You still love me. Soften my heart so that Your love overflows to those in my life who desperately need grace. Lord, tune my heart to sing Your grace. Amen.
That step of obedience God has been nudging you to take? The one that sounds crazy to you?
Do it scared. Do it imperfectly. Do it uncertain when you don't feel capable enough.
It’s in that gap of all the unknowns where the Spirit has room to move. And God's strength takes over.
Even if we can’t see it, let’s choose to believe it.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)
No human should have to carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us do.
We say we trust God & then we work our fingers to the bone & our emotions into a tangled fray trying to control it all.
Lord, help us remember that You are good & You are good at being God.
