What a week!
Two World Cup games in three days at the amazing Philadelphia Stadium. ๐๏ธ โฝ
Well done Philly.
Started the week in Rome wrapping up a summer semester teaching International Sports Law to 43 law students from 7 different U.S. law schools.๐ฎ๐น
Next up--July 4th๐บ๐ธ
It's a wrap.
An amazing summer semester teaching International Sports Law at our Rome campus to 43 law students from 7 different law schools (yes, our campus overlooks the famous Spanish Steps!) ๐ฎ๐น
Arrivederci Roma.
Next up: World Cup matches in Philadelphia โฝ ๐๏ธ
Ciao.
@MarcEdelman No doubt about it Marc.
Zoom and other video platforms were crucial during COVID.
And there is still a place for those in law schools, law firms, court houses and in business generally for efficiency.
But we lose something big from reduced personal contact and interaction.
@AndrewBrandt Losing $ 6 billion in a few short years and announcement in 2023 of settlement of its antitrust lawsuit through a merger with the PGA that, after three years, is still only an idea was a certainly a bizarre path.
Let's see if LIV golfers are accepted back.
Still lawyers?
Conclusion of another amazing semester/academic year at Temple Law School.
Look forward to teaching International Sports Law to 50 students from 8 different law schools at our Rome campus this summer.
And hope for an invitation back to lecture at Taiwan University Law School.
@heitner Couldn't agree more Darren.
Settlements are supposed to resolve litigation, not spawn hundreds of new lawsuits.
And I have been preaching for years that top administrators and trustees at universities have shirked their responsibilities.
Institutional issue, not just athletics.
Honored to join former student and Temple Law alumnus Sam Finkel at awards ceremony honoring him as a "30 Under 30."
One of only 30 alumni from entire University--thousands of graduates--to receive recognition as standouts in their respective fields, him in the sports industry.
@MarcEdelman You are rocking that cowboy look my friend.
Seriously, look where you are today. At the TOP of you field---and game. Congratulations on your professional success.
@NeilRudel The worst, and not just in sports.
Technical problems plague that whole platform.
And we have the "privilege" of paying extra for that "service."
@Scaramucci Love reading your insights and perspectives, Anthony. Always make so much sense to me.
Often simple, basic stuff. But important things that are often overlooked or ignored.
@NFL_DovKleiman Obscene money grab by the NFL. ๐ฐ๐ฒ
When is enough, enough?
They print money.
Ticket prices are not affordable for many people.
And now they want to throw an economic roadblock to folks that can't afford these subscriptions.
Always excited for Opening Day for my team, the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a high A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
Last night was no exception.
A lopsided loss but a beautiful Spring evening at the ballpark and the post-game fireworks were, as usual, the best anywhere.
@WashWizards You didn't just "miss the mark."
You missed the entire building.
And showed your contempt for your fans.
Fire everyone involved in this sick, twisted gag.
