Men who say “I just am not a Taylor swift fan.. like.. I just…” and then perform a whole soliloquy about it should be studied. Like… thank you so much for that.. I didn’t ask. Please go enjoy your favorite artist without any comment from me.
Sometimes putting in the work and running when you don’t feel like it leads to days like today. Will I regret pushing myself when I get to my long run on Saturday? I might… my legs are TIRED. But man do I feel on top of the world. #halfmarathontraining
I unintentionally started my run too fast today. It was 75 degrees and only 70ish percent humidity. I felt good after mile one so I kept pushing through mile 2, and then through 5k. Looked at my watch after. I PR’d my mile time 3 times and PR’d my 5k time by a TON.
Just me… forever wishing I was as resilient as my sourdough starter. I neglected this thing for 3 months in the fridge. Took it out and fed it and bam. 8 hours later. Doubled in size. So strong 🥹💪
@BCB_PharmD I don’t love blood and trauma. The best advice I give myself and my learners is to focus on your role and your hands in the situation. If you can take the focus away from that and to your task you’re more likely to get through it w/o the tummy jitters.
One time I heard someone say, “whether you eat it when you’re full or you leave it on your plate it’s still wasted.” I think about that a lot. And to be honest.. it has saved my relationship with food a LOT of times.
So if you also grew up in a household that made you clean your plate so you wouldn’t waste food.. (let’s face it.. it’s expensive).. it’s okay to not eat everything on your plate. Take it to go and eat it later. Or order something smaller that still fills you up!
However, as I got older I realized that I constantly felt guilty for not cleaning my plate and wasting food. This was especially true when going out to eat. Which often times meant I would eat so much I’d feel sick.
I grew up in a clean your plate household. Which is totally fine. Everyone should be encouraged to fuel their body to meet the demands of the day full of energy.
