While I was at Barcelona, playing alongside Messi meant the world to me. It was the greatest opportunity any player could wish for, but I wasn’t at my best form at the time.

It kept hurting me, but I kept pushing. I remember our last season together in the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool. In the first leg, I missed big chances created by Messi. Even though we were winning, that was the first time I saw him frustrated. After the match, he came to me and encouraged me.

After we were knocked out at Anfield, I decided I had to leave. Then I was surprised and lucky when PSG came calling.

I remembered Mbappé’s performances at the World Cup and saw it as another privilege to play with him, but it turned out very different from what I experienced with Messi.

Mbappé is a fantastic player with incredible speed and shot power, but playing with him felt completely different. Leo is a leader in any team he plays for. He takes responsibility for everyone and makes football look easy for all his teammates.

For me, I have not seen any other player like Messi. He is the best I have ever played with.
