If you're a student trying to break into tech, a few things you need to know:
1. The market is crowded now. You need to do and know more than the 2021 playbook
2. Network more. Most good roles come through referrals, not portals.
3. Tutorials are training wheels. Fine for project one, after that build on your own.
4. Mute the noise. "Java is dead", "learn Rust", "get 5 certifications", "don't enroll in a boot camp". Pick a stack, go deep.
5. Learn to use AI well. Most companies I interact with now expect it.
6. Be you. Your story is the one thing nobody can copy.
Ask God to restore your appetite for life. Your ideas. Your energy. Your curiosity. Your confidence. Your hope for the future. Sometimes you don't need a completely new life. You need to reconnect with the parts of yourself you stopped nurturing.
