According to the report, the judge openly questioned whether Trump's lawsuit was even valid in the first place.

Why?

Because Trump controls the White House.

Trump controls DOJ.

Trump controls Treasury.

In the judge's words, it's like controlling both the left arm and the right arm.

According to the report, the judge suggested Trump may have had the power to resolve the matter administratively without filing the lawsuit at all.

If that's true, then the entire case changes.

The question stops being:

"Was the settlement legal?"

And becomes:

"Should the lawsuit have existed in the first place?"

That's a much bigger problem.
