Milton Friedman: “The problem with government is the absence of any mechanism for recognizing errors. What the private system abounds in is survival of the fittest.”
“What the governmental system abounds in is expansion of the mistakes. There is no mechanism for eliminating governmental agencies which are no longer needed or have behaved perversely.”
Inflation is not some abstract number. It is why your paycheck buys about 25% less than it did 5 years ago.
The national debt drives inflation. Piling on more debt for a one-time $5,000 check does not fix the affordability crisis. It makes it worse.
School lunch, as designed by the US government:
- 1946: Meat, potatoes, 2 teaspoons of butter, half a pint of whole milk. Written into federal law.
- Obese children, first national count: 4%
- 1981: Budgets cut. The USDA tries to class ketchup as a vegetable.
- Obese children: 5%
- 1995: Fat capped at 30% of calories. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell open inside the cafeteria.
- Obese children: 11%
- 2011: Congress rules the tomato paste on a pizza a vegetable. The following year whole milk is banned and fat-free chocolate milk approved.
- Obese children: 17%
- 2026: Whole milk allowed back after 14 years. Breakfast is still cereal, juice and a muffin.
- Obese children: 20%. 1 in 9 diagnosed with ADHD. 1 in 3 teenagers prediabetic.
Every one of those changes was announced as an improvement.
The 1946 lunch was written because too many boys had failed their army medicals for malnutrition. It fixed that.
Today 77% of young Americans are unfit to serve, and the leading reason is their weight.
Our country was attacked by Islamic extremists. They can't defeat us militarily, so they are trying to kill us from within. There are citizens, illegals, members of the media and politicians who side with this enemy. We must defeat the socialists and radical Islamists in November
Sixty-two years and $22 trillion later, the U.S. poverty rate sits at roughly 11 percent, almost identical to where Lyndon Johnson found it in 1964. The government ran the most expensive social experiment in human history and produced nothing measurable. Bureaucracies perpetuate themselves, and this policy worked exactly as designed.
When Washington transfers purchasing power to the poor through SNAP, Medicaid, housing vouchers, and 126 other overlapping programs, it doesn't eliminate scarcity; it relocates decision-making from individuals to administrators. Those administrators develop career interests in perpetuating dependency, because a solved problem eliminates their department.
Free market thinkers identified this perverse incentive structure before Johnson signed the Economic Opportunity Act. Every dollar taxed from productive activity carries a deadweight cost before it reaches anyone's dinner table.
Capital formation lifts people out of poverty. You build wealth through savings, property rights, and voluntary exchange, none of which $22 trillion in redistributed spending actually produced.
Stephen A. Smith admits he can’t wrap his head around “how the hell” the Clintons and Obamas left office worth upwards of $100,000,000 after “serving” the American people.
“Clinton was a lawyer in Arkansas, grew up poor, relatively broke. How the hell he and the Clinton Foundation are worth hundreds of millions of dollars beats me.”
“Barack Obama was a community organizer who became the President of the United States. And last time I checked, that salary ain’t over $450,000.”
“How the hell you depart from office, [together] you worth over $200 million?”
Clintons’ net worth before office: ~$1,300,000
Clintons’ net worth today: ~$120,000,000
Obamas’ net worth before office: ~$1,300,000
Obamas’ net worth today: ~$70,000,000
Would America "do it again for our friends"?

Here’s @SecScottBessent on socialists: “They are over-educated and under-earning. So these are underachievers who are jealous of those who want to go and work every day.”
TEXANS‼️WAKE THE F#CK UP!!
LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR LONE STAR STATE?!!
While YOUR GOVERNOR @GregAbbott_TX YOUR ATTORNEY GENERAL @KenPaxtonTX and @DanPatrick STAY SILENT!!
SNAP and Section 8 cost U.S. taxpayers $138 billion last year, and that is before Medicaid, SSI, and the rest. Food is expensive in part because 42 million people are buying groceries with a card someone else funded.
The damage is not only the bill. When tens of millions of people organize their month around a government check, they stop voting on the country and start voting on the benefit. Borders, crime, and debt become background noise next to the one question that matters to them: who will keep the groceries and the rent voucher flowing.
Milton Friedman put it plainly: you cannot simultaneously have free immigration and a welfare state.
Amazon is warning New Yorkers their deliveries could get slower and more expensive. The company says NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani's proposal could add an estimated $664 a year to the average household's delivery costs, while putting more than 5,000 delivery jobs at risk, per FOX
Americans pay into Social Security their entire working lives, and Congress keeps spending money we don’t have. We can’t keep that promise to our seniors while running trillion-dollar deficits.
We have to get serious about paying down our $40 trillion deficit.
Watch this and try not to cry…
Marcus Coleman, whose daughter was paralyzed by an illegal alien truck driver, RIPS into Democrats:
"I reject your guys' sympathy to be honest with you... My daughter doesn't deserve this... I hold each and every one of you responsible for it."
BOOM
"There's no way you guys are sorry."
The father of a seven-year-old girl who was struck by an 18-wheeler driven by a criminal illegal immigrant tears into Democrats for their lack of action in keeping Americans safe in their own country.
Marcus Coleman says this isn't a partisan issue and that his young daughter isn't a Republican or a Democrat, she's just a little girl.
Coleman tells Democrats he rejects their sympathy and accuses them of grandstanding in front of cameras.
