You’re watching the 18-million-pound Artemis II rocket crawl to the pad at 1 mph.
Underneath it, Crawler-Transporter 2 is doing the heavy lifting.
The water truck is spraying down the path to keep silica dust from getting into the rocket’s systems and wrecking the launch.
The crawler burns about 125 gallons of diesel per mile and keeps the 322-foot rocket level within a single degree the entire time.
Tesla has achieved Dry Coating of 🔋 Batteries, and thats incredible!
Five years after Elon Musk's announcement in Fremont, which I attended, it's finally here: With the successful dry coating of the NMC-4680 battery cells, Tesla has achieved a massive cost reduction, which is already being applied in mass production.
Besides NMC, this will likely also be implemented for LFP batteries.
The project almost failed because of challenges with the cathode dry coating, but they finally succeeded, and that's a massive win in the industry; no other company comes close.
The magic lies in the way the cathode rolling process is calibrated with different speeds per roll steered in the milliseconds. While that sounds very technical, it's an incredible success that delivers high production yields and that no one can replicate.
Tesla's innovative strength has led to battery manufacturing costs so low that no other manufacturer worldwide can match them and thats an underrated accomplishment.
Tesla's innovative power remains unbroken and will lead to enormous cost reductions, meaning either the vehicles will become more affordable, Tesla will book higher profits or both.
To all those who now claim that Tesla will not succeed in the highly complex chip manufacturing industry and the Terafab because its hard and they have no experience, let me tell you that if any company will succeed, it is Elon and Tesla.
Never bet against Elon! $tsla
I spoke to @SalmanSima, organizer of the Inited Against Terrorism rally.
There was a massive turnout as he calls out Olivia Chow, Doug Ford and Mark Carney for being completely useless in the face of terrorism.
