I think many of them were inspired of God and they got an education in Bible theology.
That does not mean they were sent.

And today Christ has been rejected by the people who confess their love for him. Whoever receives me I will give them to power to become the sons of God. Kent is part of the package you have to receive him too

Basically some have been given ears to hear- ones you consider to be sinners-outside the church
And others have had their ears stopped up-those who consider themselves to be righteous-inside the church
