The mission of the Kent County Sheriff's Office is to preserve and protect the safety and security of the residents of Kent County. Follow for news releases.
The Kent Safety Network is officially live.
This program gives residents, businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations a way to help law enforcement respond faster and investigate crimes more effectively.
For residents, registering your camera is free and does not give law enforcement live access. It simply lets authorized users know a camera may be nearby if a crime or critical incident happens. If your footage may help, you may be contacted and asked to share it.
For businesses and organizations, the network also allows selected camera views to be securely shared for legitimate law enforcement purposes during emergencies and investigations.
This is about using technology and community partnerships to help keep Kent County safe.

Today, we remember the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to this country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day and will never be forgotten.
As we spend time with family and friends this holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
From all of us at the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, thank you to our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward. 🇺🇸
