If Kizuna's reveal is to be held as canon, it raises the question of HOW do adults get their partners, or how do partners return(and do they retain memories, being just reconstructed data?)

There's a lot of 'what if's' scenarios unless we get an explanation at some poiny

They cover a bit, just present day. The problem is there's no explanation yet for every person in the world at the end of 02 having a partner digimon(a film detailing this would be great)

Oikawa was the first adult to actually get a partner, though he died immediately after.

02's ending contradicts this, heavily implying that their partners never vanished.

@AramyxFun @Fethchu69 Even if you follow the studio saying the 02 ending is still canon, there's things in Kizuna that still retcon established lore from Adventure, 02, and Tri.

Kizuna was a way for them to try and reboot the series with 2020, and basically put to rest the original cast.
