As your Commissioner of Agriculture, I’m reminded every day why our state is called Almost Heaven. There’s nothing like the sight of morning mist rising over rolling green hills, cattle grazing peacefully on lush pastures, and family farms stretching across our beautiful state.
As Chairman of the IMB, I applaud the board’s decision to follow our lead. This aligns with other moves we have made to hold the Chinese government accountable. We must protect the interests of West Virginians over bad foreign actors. More to come!
It’s been a busy day here on Governor’s Day. I’ve had a wonderful time meeting with so many West Virginians and hearing about their experiences at the State Fair. Looking forward to Kansas and 38 Special later tonight.
We had a blast at the 100th State Fair of WV. Special thanks to our friends @KentforWV, Dr. Jim Nemitz, Dr. Wilson and especially our staff for showing us around.
The left's narrative on Hope continues to evolve as they lose ground. First Hope was the reason students were leaving schools and forcing consolidation. Now the argument is we just cannot spend any education dollars unless it's on public schools. The fact is education spending continues to rise while academic outcomes decline. Hope is providing new opportunities to thousands of families. We must do better for ALL students regardless of educator. https://t.co/gIYgPCMs72
As a father of five, I understand the importance of quality education. Most parents will agree that all children have different needs. The Hope Scholarship transformed my daughter’s learning experience.

Every day, agents of China are working to steal U.S. trade secrets to be weaponized against the United States. That is why we took further steps to ban technologies like DeepSeek from our government devices. More to come!
We must continue to hold our resolve against the Chinese Communist Party. That is why we have updated our policies concerning applications controlled by foreign adversaries.
Enacting pro-growth polices in partnership with our universities and local officials is key to West Virginia’s comeback. State and federal governments must focus on eliminating barriers that prevent growth.
My goal is to spend as little time as possible in the State Capitol. The only way we move West Virginia forward is by talking to real West Virginians about issues they face. The less say Charleston has, the better.
🚨Thank you Governor Morrisey and the WV legislature on supporting education freedom. It’s an honor to help so many families find the education that fits their unique needs. More to come!
Thanks to principled lawmakers - 19,000 students will have the access to the education of their choice next year. The Mountain state continues to lead the nation in education innovation.
Term limits should exist for Board of Public Works members, according to State Treasurer Larry Pack.
"I don't understand why it takes you 8 years to accomplish what you ran for," Treasurer Pack said on @WVMetroNews Talkline earlier this week.
🚨@POTUS is right. It’s time to return education to the states by dismantling the Federal Department of Education. Congress must now act and make this change permanent. Read more from my Op-Ed below 👇 https://t.co/FTkxnkKBH1
