BIGGEST IN SOUTHEAST ASIA 🏳️🌈
Reports state that around 300,000 people went to UP Diliman in Quezon City for the yearly Love Laban Pride Festival, which organizers continuously name as the largest annual Pride event in Southeast Asia, surpassing even Pride events in Thailand where same-sex marriage is legal.
Seen in these photos is the vicinity of only one of four stages scattered across the UP campus yesterday; only one stage was featured in previous years' Pride PH festivals.
The number does not include attendees at other Pride events by different organizers yesterday in other cities and regions.
Among the many calls is the passage of a law legalizing same-sex marriage by LGBT-embracing religious denominations and same-sex civil unions.

Dapat may bakla!"

Korique??? Happy Pride sa lahat! Tandaan niyo sa QC — you are seen.
Can I just say... Lately I'm feeling hopeless for the country. If you read through comments, ang daming taong galit sa mga katulad ni SenRi na ginagawa ng maayos ang trabaho nila. Makes me wonder saan sya humuhugot ng lakas to continue fighting even for people who don't like her.
Poverty increases desperation and social alienation. Feeling connected to the benefits of being a part of a society increases prosocial behavior. Disconnection from those benefits decreases prosocial behavior. Impunity and isolation from normal society because of extreme wealth can also decrease prosocial behavior. Some people are shits regardless of the situation. It’s a game of tendencies and risk factors. We all want to build a society in which people’s work is rewarded and bit of bad luck doesn’t doom someone for life. Extreme inequality makes that harder. This is all pretty well-trodden ground.
There is something deeply troubling about a society that is quick to demand the harshest punishment for children, while celebrating convicted plunderers, tolerating corruption, and rewarding leaders who normalize violence.
Young people do not grow up in a vacuum. They learn from the values we model, the behavior we reward, and the systems we build around them. Violence rarely begins at the moment it becomes visible. It is often preceded by bullying, social isolation, neglect, untreated trauma, and countless missed opportunities for intervention.
If we want children to reject violence, then we must also be willing to examine the ways our society excuses, glorifies, and profits from it. We cannot celebrate violence among adults and expect young people to learn a different lesson.
This ad irked Duterte so much that he tried to revoke Trillanes’ amnesty and successfully denied ABS-CBN a franchise.
All for it to be hauntingly prophetic.
Did they get the guns from the online game? No. Follow the guns and investigate their owners. This is misdirection. Palibhasa pulis yung may-ari nung isang baril.
"ito ba ang pag-asa ng bayan" sounds SO annoying kasi alam mong walang concern sa tragic events itong mga matatandang 'to. they only want to paint the youth as murderers and stupid when these kids would only learn such actions from *checks notes* ADULTS
Platforms will make age verification methods that will use ID information? That will lead to data harvesting en masse. Not to mention, this is also an issue of media censorship and the right to access information.
Kneejerk reactions like these are the least thing we need!
A lending app is running billboards targeting people who can't afford their commute home.
This is disgusting and incredibly exploitative.
Every day we see new lows for the PH. 🇵🇭💔
