The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has announced a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR), raising the rate from 53% to 55% of basic pay and pension effective from January 1, 2025.

This move will benefit:
✅ AIS officers serving in the State
✅ Central Govt. employees on deputation
✅ State Govt. employees, pensioners & family pensioners

Arrears from Jan–Apr 2025 will be paid in cash. Revised rates will be reflected in monthly disbursements from May 2025.

Total Financial Outlay: Rs. 73.22 crore over 14 months.

A heavily loaded #tippertruck fell into a deep gorge on the #Potin to #Posa road, near the Potin viewpoint area, on Monday afternoon. Due to #roadblocks in the area, many vehicles were stranded when the unmanned truck fell. At the time of the incident, the driver was outside, and the truck was balanced with the help of a stone. Multiple vehicles were heavily #damaged, and one light motor #vehicle also went into the gorge. There have been no confirmed injuries or casualties reported. Further details are awaited.
