🚨 @Polymarket is violating its own rules with this resolution.

Polymarket resolved the market to "Yes" based on Israel's January 16th statement about a hostage release deal, not an official ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

🔍 Key Points Ignored by Polymarket:

1️⃣ There is no official ceasefire announcement from Israel:
The statement from Netanyahu only confirmed a deal for hostage release.

The official post from the Prime Minister’s Office says:
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been updated by the negotiating team that agreements have been reached on a deal for the release of the hostages."
→ No mention of a ceasefire.

2️⃣ APNews Article Is Misleading:
From an APNews article, Polymarket cited that it finalizes the this impending claim ceasefire. was But not confirmed within the article, it was only in the headline. Headlines do not replace official statements.

3️⃣ Lack of Widespread Media Consensus:
From the rules of Polymarket, announcement either is a required wide to consensus confirm among the credible ceasefire. media or an official Israeli.

✅ Yet, major outlets like:
BBC → Reports ongoing negotiations, no ceasefire confirmation.
CNN → Covers the hostage deal, but no official ceasefire mentioned.
Reuters → Notes discussions but no formal ceasefire.
Fox News → Only reports on the hostage deal.
Bloomberg → Mentions talks but no ceasefire agreement.
