Excited to share a significant moment in rhino conservation! Today, at the @KWSKenya Nairobi National Park, I officially launched the translocation of 21 black rhinos from Nairobi National Park, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to Loisaba Wildlife Conservancy.
In collaboration with stakeholders and as per the Wildlife Conservation Act, we're implementing the 7th edition of the Recovery and Action Plan for the Black Rhino in Kenya. Our focus is on rhino range expansion to decongest populations and ensure sustainable growth.

Conversations with community members unveiled the daily struggles they endure in an environment shared with the diverse and majestic wildlife that we are dedicated to preserving. The people shared their experiences and concerns regarding the frequent encounters with wildlife, and the challenges they face in safeguarding their lives and livelihoods.
I would like to assure that my ministry is addressing these unfortunate occurrences with the urgency they deserve.
This morning, I presented my ministry's perspective on the Natural Resources (Benefits Sharing) Bill to the National Assembly's Committee on Environment, Forestry, and Mining. This legislation, previously approved by the Senate in early August, is currently undergoing public participation in the National Assembly.
