Together with my colleague, the Principal Secretary for Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Mr. Aden Abdi Millah @ps_adenmillah, we held a Strategic Engagement Forum with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) @KCBInKenya led by the General Manager, Mr. David Nyamu,to discuss sector financing and partnership opportunities in the blue economy and maritime sectors.
The engagement highlighted a strong pipeline of investment opportunities across fisheries and aquaculture, ports and logistics, shipbuilding and repair, marine cruise tourism, and enabling infrastructure and technology that can drive sustainable and inclusive growth. We agreed to continue working closely with KCB and other financial partners to unlock capital, create decent jobs, and uplift coastal and riparian communities while safeguarding our marine and freshwater ecosystems.
