You built your entire brand on accountability, integrity and exposing questionable acquisition of public resources. You convinced Kenyans that your principles were non negotiable.

Yet the first political home you chose was Jubilee??? A party whose time in government left countless unanswered questions around public land, procurement, mega corruption scandals, politically connected wealth and abuse of public office. Many of the same political figures who presided over that era remain within that political establishment.

So what exactly changed? Your principles or your political address?

If you’re asking Kenyans to scrutinize Kasongo and those around him, and rightly so, then you must also be prepared to apply that exact same standard to the people you’ve chosen to stand with. Accountability doesn’t become optional because you’ve changed political camps. Tell us, hio shamba yote walitoa wapi!!

This is why Kenyans should stop worshipping political personalities. Today someone is exposing one side, tomorrow they’re comfortably seated with another side that carries its own baggage of unresolved questions.

The moment your standards change depending on who you’re standing next to, you’re no longer fighting for accountability, you’re simply participating in selective outrage🚶🏿‍♀️🚶🏿‍♀️

Day two related to Utumishi Girls who died, the memorial service attended by Rachel Ruto but skipped by the President. He was in State House that day meeting a delegation from Marsabit. Today was supposedly a normal working day. Thousands of ordinary Kenyans have had to walk to work because roads have been barricaded. Many simply have no choice.
These are the same hardworking people who wake up before dawn, struggle through a chaotic, filthy city with no dignified public transport and very few decent pedestrian walkways. They work all day to feed their families, educate their children and keep this country moving.

Meanwhile, the very leaders they pay through their hard-earned taxes enjoy every privilege while ordinary citizens continue to bear the cost of poor decisions.
We keep hearing about supporting businesses and creating jobs. Is this the support we are talking about? How do you create employment while taxing businesses and citizens to the last cent, then making it even harder for people to get to work and for businesses to operate?

If today was meant to be a normal working day, then why so much panic? Why should the people who keep this country running be made to suffer even more? Brilliant. Just brilliant.

It is what it is.

Kimani Kuriahh , MP of Molo, accused him of stealing chicken from his home. Instead of using the law, he sent goons to end his life.

He was an activist and an aspiring politician.
