PARENTS, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING GENEROSITY 🥰
Have a wonderful Christmas ❤️
To say I am proud of the Y1/2/children in the preparation and performance of The Christmas Story is an understatement! Every child rose to the occasion in their own unique way making this wonderful time of the year even more special 👏🏼🤩 🎄 @Hollymountbury
I was lucky to take four boys to a Boccia competition at a local high school school last week. It was a great experience for them and we definitely had some competitive, tactical choices going on. Well done, boys. I was very proud of you. 👏🏼 @Hollymountbury
Great communication last week when discussing if toys were old or new, especially when the children got to the toys that are both! We are grateful to those of you who have answered the history detectives questions, we are finding them fascinating. @Hollymountbury
Our computing work is ‘Creating Pictures.’ We are exploring the 2Paint a Picture templates and functions alongside learning about artists and art movements. This week’s focus was abstract art in the style of Piet Mondrian 🔴🔵🟡@Hollymountbury
Our first KS1 Reading for Pleasure Lunchtime Club was lovely. Our beautiful library was so cosy and calm 😌 we really enjoyed putting our feet up with a good book 📚 Thank you to the parent(s) who donated new batteries from our @Hollymountbury wish list that lit up Cara’s corner
What a brilliant display of home learning @Hollymountbury
You have worked so hard to bring your learning alive. A huge well done to everyone involved 👏🏼 💛❤️💙
Founders’ Week is always a special time to learn about the rich history of our wonderfully unique school. Our autumn walk took us around Holly Mount & we identified buildings that were once part of the orphanage and school. @Hollymountbury#fieldwork
I love it when a plan pays off! We have worked hard on our English and art topics and the end products have been worth the effort 👏🏼 here is a snapshot.
Also, we had a beautiful self-led prayer and liturgy on Friday - totally independent ☺️ 🙏🏻 @Hollymountbury
Our English learning has focused on ‘Door’ by JiHyeon Lee. The children have shown super understanding of nouns, verbs, adjectives and conjunctions and I am super-proud of their first writing attempts as Y1s & Y2s. Their self-belief & independence is fantastic! @Hollymountbury
Our fabulous school is holding an open evening for parents & carers of children starting school in September 2025. For more details, please contact the school office. ❤️💙💛
At the end of a first full week as a class, we’re already a great team 🤩 The teamwork, problem-solving skills & communication was superb during our mission to build a bridge to safety 👏🏼
We ended our week with a beautiful trip to the orchard 🍏 🌳 @Hollymountbury
I have had the pleasure of teaching two wonderful classes of children this year and I feel very grateful for the opportunity to be part of their learning journey. Parents and children, thank you so much for your generosity. As usual, you have overwhelmed me 🥹
