The reason this backlash is happening is simple. Microsoft keeps pushing AI into every part of Windows even though the majority of users never asked for it, never wanted it, and do not trust it. Copilot barely functions, recall is a security nightmare, and now we have agentic features that literally allow the OS to click, type, scroll, and read files in the background. None of this improves reliability or security and none of it solves the real issues people have been dealing with for years.

Users want a clean, fast, predictable operating system that does not spy on them or behave unpredictably in the background. Instead Microsoft keeps turning Windows into a bloated corporate experiment built around telemetry collection and AI hype rather than actual engineering. The frustration is not surprising. What is surprising is that Microsoft still acts confused about why people are rejecting this entire direction.
