A cream cat in a blue hardhat launched on Base.
Six days later, Coinbase put $BASECAT on its listing roadmap.
The joke is obvious.
The infrastructure story is better.
Most people still imagine Coinbase listings as a slow queue reserved for large, established assets.
But the process is closer to two questions:
> Can Coinbase legally and technically support it?
> Is there enough demand, liquidity, and activity to prioritize it now?
Small market cap is not an automatic disqualifier.
@BasecatOnBase is also a B20 token, Base’s new native ERC-20-compatible standard.
That makes this more than a cat listing.
It is an early test of how Base’s issuance stack meets Coinbase’s centralized exchange machine.
