Pretty much near the end and it’s pretty safe to say you can enjoy silksong without playing hollow knight, you’ll just miss some references here and there

WASD controls was stated to have the design goal of onboarding newer players more easily into the game. The discussion on whether or not it hurts more than it helps is plagued by the same issue I see in every gaming community ever - doomsayers. People who presume doomsaying to be an actual personality trait and just fire hyperbolic statements and claim that “this will kill the game” oftentimes hurt discussion more than help.

Even in a case where something is overpowered, it helps to give actual constructive feedback than just be annoying as shit and repeat the same things. Whether it’s SUPERVIVE or League I’ve just noticed, for some reason, that the most vocal people should honestly take like 5 more minutes to word their shit appropriately. It is exhausting reading it for me - especially because I know that crowd is already dismissing my point here and going straight to “corporate shill”. It’s like you bored motherfuckers want a villain on purpose.

Seriously, if a game takes a big swing you should think about why that is instead of being the least charitable, most annoying little mosquitoes about every change.

Every clip of WASD I’ve seen has been in demonstration of its strength of strengths with max builds and attack speed. Can we not reserve judgement until at least seeing a bit more - perhaps real games? Do you not think Riot needs the same data and, presumably, are more invested in the health of their own game such that they wouldn’t keep WASD if it were as overpowered as you doomsayers say it is?

Unreal. Hate seeing it in SV, seeing it in League now. Anyways, new augments in Arena.
