Looking to #connect with people building in tech 👇
AI + local models
3D tech: LiDAR, point clouds, Gaussian splats
Dev tools & agents
I post real demos and breakdowns, not hype.
Drop what you're building, I'll follow back. ☕
25 new people in a few hours. Thank you! ☕
Help me pick what I break down first:
1. Local AI on a Mac mini: real speed numbers
2. Gaussian splats: 3D from a phone video
3. Agent skills: the new supply-chain risk
Reply with a number 👇 And if you're in tech, let's connect.

100 curious minds. One strong cup of chai. ☕
We just hit our first 100 followers! 🎉
Started Kernel & Chai to share what I'm learning about AI, software engineering, and 3D technology.
Real experiments. Actual numbers. Honest lessons. Zero hype.
Thank you for being part of this journey! ❤️
Next stop: more building, less talking.
What are you working on right now?
@zeebuildshere Congrats on 266, Zee!
Love that you're actually taking the time to explore what everyone is building. That's what makes this community interesting!
Curious, what are you working on yourself? And what's the most exciting project you've discovered here so far? ☕
Congrats on 420, Marin!
Framefly is an interesting idea. Automating product demos with AI agents could save builders a lot of time.
Curious, how does the agent decide which user journeys to showcase? Does it handle authenticated flows and complex interactions too?
Would love to see it in action! ☕
The bigger story isn't just faster silicon. It's Microsoft designing chips around the AI workloads it actually runs.The 40% tokens-per-watt improvement is interesting, but I'd love to see cost per million tokens and p99 latency under real Copilot workloads.That's where inference economics get interesting.
Today we are announcing our biggest bet yet on our own silicon.
Starting next calendar year, we will scale our Maia family to multi-gigawatt deployments, making it the primary inference system for our own product and services.
And we’re introducing Maia 300, which delivers 40% more tokens per watt compared to leading GPU-based systems.
We are already deploying Maia 200 across the US, Europe, and Australia, delivering up to 1.7x more tokens per watt across experiences in Teams and Copilot.
Our goal is to build on the full-stack efficiency gains we’ve already seen, while continuing to bring the latest innovations from across the ecosystem into our fleet.
Almost at 1K! Congrats, Vaibhav! 🚀
Love the “products, not just prototypes” mindset. That's where the real engineering journey begins.
Roamer and StoryMint look interesting! Curious, which project has been the most challenging to build, and what have you learned along the way? ☕
Starting something in public 🛠️
4+ ways to train Gaussian splats on a Mac. All say they're fast. None are measured the same way.
SplatBench: same scenes, same camera poses, same scoring, every M-chip.
First numbers next week ☕
@supabase@GoogleDeepMind Love seeing Supabase and Google DeepMind bring builders together!
Hackathons are where some of the most interesting experiments happen.
Curious, were there any standout AI projects or unexpected use cases built during the event? ☕
This is exactly the kind of Devcon coverage I'd love to follow!
Less hype, more real engineering and products that actually solve problems.
I'm particularly curious about developer tooling, security, and projects with real-world adoption.
Any interesting teams or ideas already on your radar? ☕
@brimskeau Couldn't agree more!
Goals keep us motivated, but it's the people and conversations that make the journey worthwhile.
And Istanbul sounds amazing! 🇹🇷 What's been your favourite experience there so far?
@marieolivie Building Kernel & Chai ☕🚀
Breaking down AI, software engineering, and 3D tech from an engineer's perspective. Real experiments, practical insights, zero hype.
Still early in the journey, but enjoying every bit of it!
What are you building?
@sandip_dev_07 Hey Sandip! 👋 Great to connect!
Saw you're building Slugy — interesting space!
Curious, what inspired you to build it, and what's the biggest challenge you're tackling right now?
@beth_byte Interesting experiment, Beth! 📈
We're also building Kernel & Chai from the ground up, so it's fascinating to see these numbers.
Do you think meaningful conversations drive more growth than posting frequently? Curious what you've learned so far. ☕
@empowwerr Love that energy!
Curious, what are you building right now? And what's that one big idea you've been itching to bring to life?
Always excited to connect with fellow builders! ☕
@kieran_builds This is what makes the builder community great! 🚀
Sharing the wins, failures, and lessons along the way makes the journey more interesting.
Looking forward to seeing what you build. What are you working on right now? ☕
